1. What to photograph
Aim for about 10 to 20 photos. Walk through your home the way a parent would on a tour:
- Every room the children use: play area, nap area, eating area, bathroom or diaper station. Tidy up first and turn all the lights on.
- Your outdoor play space: backyard, patio, play equipment, or the nearby park you walk to.
- Toys, books, and learning materials: a few close-ups of shelves, bins, art supplies, and anything hands-on.
- Meals: a plate of food you actually serve, or your kitchen if you cook on site.
- The front of your home: the entrance or door families use for drop-off.
- You and your staff: optional, but parents love seeing the person who will care for their child. A friendly, clear photo is enough.
- Anything you are proud of: a cozy reading corner, a garden, a daily schedule on the wall, certificates or your license.
2. How to take good photos with your phone
- Hold the phone sideways (landscape). Wide photos fit a website much better than tall ones.
- Use daylight. Open the curtains and shoot during the day. Turn on the room lights too. Avoid photos that are dark or yellow.
- Tidy first. Clear the floor, straighten the shelves, put away bags and clutter. A clean, simple room photographs well.
- Stand in a corner and get the whole room in the shot, then take one or two close-ups.
- Keep them steady. Tap the screen to focus, hold still, then take the photo. Take a few of each spot, then send the best ones.
- Send them full size. Don’t shrink or crop them. Bigger files look sharper on the website.
3. Photos of children: the rule
Please do not send photos that show a child’s face unless that child’s parent has given you written permission to use it publicly.
Photos of your space with no children in them are always safe. If you want children in a photo, either get written permission first, or take the photo from behind or to the side so no face is clearly visible.
4. How to send them
Use the box below. It opens a simple page where you drag your photos in or pick them from your phone. There is no sign-in and no account. You can also just email them.
